Linta – AI Copilot for Apple Mail (“Application”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you use the Application or our related website (collectively, the “Service”).
Linta is designed to operate entirely on your Mac. Email content never leaves your device. We do not sell, rent, or monetize user data.
2. Information We Process
The Application processes certain information in order to deliver its AI features:
- Email Content (On-Device). The text of the messages you compose or view is analysed locally to generate writing suggestions. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
- Third-Party LLM API. With your explicit action, selected text snippets may be sent to our Large-Language-Model provider solely to generate the requested output. We have opted out of model training and data retention for all such API calls.
- Purchase Information. If you subscribe, the transaction is handled by Apple (App Store) or Lemon Squeezy. We receive only anonymous subscription status tokens (e.g., plan, renewal date) necessary to unlock premium features.
- Support Communications. If you email us, we will receive the personal information you include (e.g., email address, name) and will use it only to respond to your inquiry.
3. How We Use Information
- To deliver and improve the Application's AI-assisted functionality;
- To verify and manage subscriptions;
- To respond to support requests;
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing & Disclosure of Information
We do not share personal information except in the limited circumstances below:
- Service Providers. We engage reputable third-party providers (e.g., LLM API, payment processors) to facilitate the Service. These providers are contractually bound to process data only on our behalf and in accordance with this Policy.
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
- Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as permitted by law. We will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a different policy.

We retain the minimal personal information we control (e.g., subscription tokens, support emails) only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted.

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard information under our control. Nevertheless, no security system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
